Nails, Inc. is a personalized, full-service, freight brokerage.  As a brokerage/logistics company we have handled all manner of opportunities in a variety of imaginative and creative ways.

The senior management at NAILS includes professionals with vast experience in virtually all areas of transportation.  Tom Phelps and Terry Tomea have over thirty years experience each with backgrounds involving ground, air, and sea transportation throughout the world.  This background includes international, refrigerated and military experience.

Tom and Terry have both been included in several Who's Who publications.  They are family and community oriented and take great satisfaction in personal service to their customers.

The ownership has created a very modern, yet old-fashioned work environment.  There is an insistence on the personal touch and communication, starting with no voice mail menus, and back that up with a very sophisticated computer system.  NAILS has a twenty four hour dedicated on line presence on the World Wide Web in order to service the new generation of business.  The office itself is very informal, and virtually anybody will answer the phone to take an order or answer a question.

Additional key personnel include Pat Rybicki in Accounting, Iris Rodgers, Erin Phelps in Operations, and Jen Tomea in Office Staff.

History:

NAILS, Inc. started in 1993 out of Hackettstown NJ, predominantly brokering freight throughout the North American continent.  As the business grew, the office moved to Mt Arlington, NJ in 1996.  Notable customers during this time included Holmes Air, Johnson Control, Snapple, and KAMA Film.  NAILS also participated in heavy and oversize loads throughout the United States and Canada.  Around 1999 NAILS entered the energy field with the transportation of power cells, batteries, and sundry equipment.  NAILS has participated in transportation needs with virtually every battery manufacturer in the country to include New Penn, Enersys, C&D Technologies, and Douglas. NAILS had a large role providing logistical support for the implementation and transportation of the fiber optic installations all around the country.

Currently:

Starting in 2010, NAILS has provided the opportunity for EPA compliant battery recycling and monetary asset recovery of capital investments.  Beginning in 2016 this program has expanded to include Frontier Communications and the FIOS program.
